Getting SSL errors on my page in FireFox

Are you getting SSL errors on my page IN FIREFOX. This has been happening for a couple weeks and I can't figure out why. It does not happen in other browsers.

Most likely a problem with intermediate SSL certificate not being installed. I have had this problem before with a site.

Check out this guide for installing SSL certificates for all web servers:

    http://help.godaddy.com/article/5346?locale=en

So the intermediate certificate is the certificate between the one for your domain and your Root CA. Your Root CA is GeoTrust Global, so you must install the certificate for Volusion Inc too, because its the intermediate authority.

What do I tell my web host? They are 100% convinced that they can't reproduce the error.

    I get the error saying:

<<snipped>> uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

    (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

Tell them they are wrong and they must install the intermediate certificate too.

I've just checked, your chain certs aren't installed.

    Common name: www.swiftink.com
    SANs: www.swiftink.com, swiftink.com
    Organization: www.swiftink.com
    Location: US
    Valid from November 2, 2011 to November 4, 2012
    Serial Number: 7082 (0x1baa)
    Signature Algorithm: sha1WithRSAEncryption
Issuer: Volusion, Inc. DV SSL CA

    No CA after that.

If your host, can't re-produce this error, I'd consider what they're doing hosting.

That's good to know. I'm a bit frustrated since this has been going on for two weeks. So many customers complaining and my host just tells me that they cannot reproduce the error and everything is fine.

I'm glad you guys were able to pinpoint the issue.

If your host gives you further jibber-jabber about not being able to re-produce the issue, just direct them to this thread.

Annoyingly, I cannot reproduce this error on my Firefox
Even though I cant help because I cant see the error, I thought you may want to know..

I assume your host is seeing it as fine ( like I am )

Chrome is also certain that the SSL cert is fine.

The issue was resolved by installing the intermediate certificate. So you will not be able to reproduce the error anymore.
