    How Do You Calculate Bandwidth?

How do I know how much Bandwidth I will need when purchasing a dedicated server?

    Thankyou!

You could use that as reference or ask your provider to send you a screenshot of the exact monthly usage on their monitoring.
Cpanel won't show all traffic used.

You also need to factor in projected growth on top of what you're currently using.

Dedicated server transfer is metered at switch level. Applications run at higher level and don't register every bit crossing the switch.

You will only find out how good a provider is when the going gets tough

Yeh just add some for how much you expect to grow.

Also don't forget a dedicated server will include updates etc... in the bandwidth.

Something that you don't include on shared hosting as the provider does it
