How to check IP Blacklisting?
Hi,
My forum is sending emails. Every Email is reaching gmail's spam folder.
http://www.mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.a...3a216.12.199.2
Is that true that the IP blacklisted?
Thanks

Yes.
If you share an IP (standard hosting account) it may not have been you that got the IP blacklisted.

No, it's fine. Some IP addresses will be listed in these random obscure blacklists that NO ONE uses, such as the case for your IP address listed above. The most common SPAM blacklists to worry about are:
Barracuda
Spamhaus
Spamcop
Spews
SORBS
UCEPROTECT
As long as your IP address is clear in those blacklists, and it is, you shouldn't have any trouble with 99% of mail servers out there.RACK911 Labs | Penetration Testing | https://www.RACK911Labs.ca

I have trouble. Mails are reaching spam folder in gmail. In Yahoo, they reach inbox sometimes and spam sometimes.

Not sure what to do for this.
It was working properly in the previous hosting.
I have sent a mail to No More Funn ( http://moensted.dk/spam/no-more-funn/?addr=216.12.199.2) to drop it.

Addon domains also sending mails in the spam folder.
Is there any way to fix it without changing the host?
I have paid for one year. I have used only one month service

Have you raised a ticket with you host about it? They should be able to help you.

Yes, I have been talking about this. It seems they stopped trying to fix it.
The email from my hosting says
Unfortunately the way gmail and other services work is it's based off a combination of things. So the reputation of the sender ip, your domain, and your content. There is unfortunately nothing we can do to solve how gmail is classify the mail. It will take people reporting your mail as not spam to build up the reputation so that even if your content seems questionable it's actually legitimate.

Is this using PHPMailer or connecting to the mail server directly?
NOMOREFUNN seems to be the only agency blacklisting that IP, should be easy enough to have it removed as long as they don't require a 'small donation'
Also agriz, the message from your host is correct.
This is in addition to taking the measures that people have mentioned above.
Also to add, try get reverse DNS if you have a dedicated IP.Last edited by iexo; 11-23-2011 at 07:59 PM.

Where is your website hosted at? Is it hosted on a shared, VPS or Dedicated? A quick look at the IP address shows that it sends out a very low volume of email (not on any black lists), so it could be that your mail server is A.) Misconfigured or B.) Your IP address is brand new, so it hasnt been around long enough to build a reputation. It can also be a combination of both, if I were you I would talk to your web host about this as they are the ones that will be able to better assist you with this issue.

Enabled, WARNING: DomainKeys cannot be used because this server is not a DNS server for domain.com
It is 100% meaningful warning. The domain is still using the old server's Nameservers.
But the forum is addon domain in new hosting.
How to activate DomainKeys for addon domains separately?
Is that possible in shared hosting?

Yes and no. You have to have WHM access for the records. That happens mostly on VPS/dedicated, maybe reseller, never shared. Then you can mirror those records to your own off-cPanel DNS setup. I've done this.

We have been seeing a rise in users that are having problems with their messages ending up in spam folders. It looks like you have already confirmed that you are Blacklisted on NOMoreFunn and that is because you are using a dynamic IP. If you are a legitimate business we would highly recommend getting a static IP so you can control the activity on it.
Other than that, your provider is somewhat correct as Gmail and other large providers use "the human element" in their spam filtering. Basically this means that users have the power to influence spam filtering. When users mark a message as spam some providers use this data to flag similar emails as spam and may add your email address, domain, or IP to a Blocked List. Sometimes the message is in fact a legitimate mailing that was requested by the end user but in the end if the recipient does not want the message in their inbox, they will often mark it as spam. We would recommend reviewing this blog post for even more details: http://community.mxtoolbox.com/blog/...er-newsletter/
Good luck!
