Fully Managed VPS - Please Recommend

Could someone recommend a reliable & fully managed VPS (with cPanel) host? Any place in the US would be fine, preferably within the wast coast(CA).

We don't really any high specs since we'll be only hosting a single site with few visitors, however fully managed (a must) + cPanel would be required. Anything under (or around) $45 / mo would be acceptable to us.

We only need good support and that's all. We currently use KnownHost although their response times are excellent, but there's a wired issue going on and we're tired dealing with them anymore.

Any experience with your host would be kindly appreciated!

I don't think you can go wrong with 6sync.com

wiredtree.com also has some good offerings.

Or, because of your westcoast priority: Knownhost.com
They have an excellent reputation here. WiredTree.com too, by the way...

What "weird issue"? Have you asked Knownhost about it?

What's the the issue with KH? Maybe it's just a matter of miscommunication with them; I'd try to resolve the matter because you can't hardly get anything better. However, you may also want to look into ServInt, they have a location in LA.

    Thanks for all the responses.

For those who would like to hear the details of "wired issue" I mentioned, its our VPS randomly freezes for 1 ~ 2 minutes, and then recovers back to normal by itself. During the freeze all services stop responding(HTTP, SSH, CPANEL.. etc, expect ping), once it recovers we check load immediately however it was always normal. And by the time they login to the server, everything was back to normal already, so they just tell me everything is fine.

What about the logs? Is there nothing there?

Not quite sure if anything was in there. Either way, they should have checked it and let me know each time I update the ticket when the server freezes.

6sync has been absolutely terrific for me.

I think you should take a look at the VPS hosting offers section. If you widen your search from CA to Seattle you should find a lot of VPS hosters.

    What specs would you need?

    I recommend the following: HostDime.com, VPSLatch.net or WiredTree.com

I would hands down say VPSLatch.net, they have a fantastic support team with crazy response times, not to mention fully managed hosting with all the bells and tassels.

Looks like they also fit right into your budget

Here's one of their recent sales threads.

Yeah CA to Seattle would be completely fine.

We're only looking for basic VPS specs.. something like 512 to 768MB of RAM(for cPanel), at least 10GB storage and 300 to 500GB of monthly bandwidth. The most important factor however would be support quality.

I'll check out 6sync & VPSLatch first, thanks guys

Good call, I went with them quite some months ago and I couldn't be happier. Here's a recent review I wrote about them http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=976222

I would also recommend the following too, Known Host or WiredTree.

    Best of Luck!
