    Looking for budget hosts

    Hi everyone,

Looking for 50 - 100 budget hosts at $1-2 per month. It is important that they provide cPanel. Shared hosting is fine.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

A small advice : providers offering to pay monthly are always better... this way if they are bad you can get rid of them quickly... Whereas if you payed $24 for a year and they provide bad service you end up paying $24 for 1 or 2 months which isn't a great deal at all...

Alse here a few I consider good, they had offers in the shared offer section but not sure these offers are still running :
    - crocweb (very good uptime, almost never had to open a ticket)
    - V7 Host (which is actually owned by AMS, they use a crappy backend but else the uptime is quite ok, almost never had to open a ticket)
    - Spinikr / Hosting Cove
    - Host Mist

I have accounts with all of them since more than 6 months and they run smoothly enough for what I suspect you're looking for ;-) I'm monitoring all my sites.

Hopefully some others will share their preferred hosts.

As a general rule I've had bad experiences most of the time with either :
    - hosts with protected whois
    - hosts with non US/European owners (maybe just bad luck)
    - hosts pushing 12 months engagement (whereas I understand why it's easier for them to manage their server when they know how many clients they have, it's also a great way to disappear with your money... a reliable host shouldn't have anything to fear when offering 1 month offers as if he's reliable people will stay)

    Cheers,

You can get a cheap account with GoDaddy that will allow you multiple domain hosting on one account. Works relatively well but will have the problems that occur with all shared hosting packages, as described extensively on this site!

May I ask why do you need 50 - 100 shared hosts?

I can only recommend hosts i've used and I've only used Hostgator and CrocWeb, CrocWeb is $5 but worth it big time.

Hostgator use coupon 404page and get a month for a 0.01c

I would definitely NOT recommend Hostgator. My sites have gone down consistently over the last two months while they relocate their servers and the support has been none existent. I'm actually trying to escape their service at the moment.

Hostblast.net is $.50 a month. They offer Cpanel and you can pretty much host unlimited of everything.

Even there you will run into trouble. If you mean unlimited domains as in unlimited sites you will eventually start using to much RAM or something else that affects other sites on the server and your account will be suspended or terminated. Again read the TOS on those hosts.

    Good luck

Try using the search function and including the terms 'cPanel' and filtering the search to only check the Shared Hosting Offers section.

    Good luck.
