Cpanel Daily Process Logs - MySQL high usage

    Hi All,

I have a VPS with a good host, but been having a few issues of late.

If someone or more can help me understand what the following means please, I'd be very grateful.

The below are two lines from the daily process log report in cpanel.

Recently my MySQL service has been going mental without any explanation to which script is using all the resources.

    mysql 163 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir/ --datadir/var/lib/mysql --usermysql --log-error/var/lib/mysql/VPS.DOMAIN.com.err --pid-file/var/lib/mysql/VPS.DOMAIN.com.pid

    _________________________________________________

    mysql 162 /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir/ --datadir/var/lib/mysql --usermysql --log-error/var/lib/mysql/VPS.DOMAIN.com.err --pid-file/var/lib/mysql/VPS.DOMAIN.com.pid

    Any advise would be grateful.

    Cheers,
    Joe

    Hi

Enable slow query logging then you can at least see what running slowly. it maybe that a table has just gone over a certain size and is loading up your VPS.

Also it maybe that your VPS server is hosted in a busy node. (need to ask your host for some help)

    Thanks

    Andrew

I'd suggest you to check the database credentials with your hosting provider
