Does Google follow links in javascript?
I've created a users online counter script that enables users to place a <script src"= code on their site so that they can see how many online users there are.
Now, this counter links back to my site, but do I get any Google juice from the backlinks or doesn't Google follow links within javascript at all?
Thanks in advance.<<Please see rules for signature setup>>

I personally doubt Google follows links in JavaScript, it would be to hard to decode and read though.

I do not know that it is valid or not. But you can check after showing in webpage with no follow tool.

Hi, ceint
In my own experiences, Google bot would act just like real visitors to our sites. So, all links we could see via "page source" would be picked up by Google.
all the best,

Google indexes just like a normal human visiting the site. It will load the javascripts and follows the link.

Javascript is followed by Google.
But, the benefits like increasing page rank or SERP ranking is unknown. No one actually knows that javascript links actually helps in Google ranking.
