EuroVPS is an excellent host -- one of the best you'll ever find.
However, their VPS hosting is geared towards website users, not game servers that may take up too much CPU. The Linux servers are based on Virtuozzo, and the Windows servers on VMWare. As far as open ports, you'd have to ask them. To run games there, you'd probably need to take out a dedicated server.
Games like low latency, so you'll want to use a provider that is close to you and the other players, and is using quality bandwidth (no budget Cogent connections). That may be EuroVPS, or it may be elsewhere. Without knowing more about your location, it's hard to give advice. (The person who says U.S. is best is just guessing, and that didn't really help.)
