Best Ecommerce Script for this Idea
Hey guys,
I am starting a company which sells tangible products online (t-shits etc). I am totally new to eCommerce. What do I need to know? What is the best script for selling tangible products?
Can someone point me to a good guide for such a project?

Magento if you're technically capable, or Magento GO (their hosted service) if you need hand-holding getting e-commerce site set up.

I would highly recommend Magento for you. I've been managing a Magento site for more than 2 years now and it's been awesome so far. Plenty of plug ins and modules out there. Open source is a good thing.

I would suggest you to consult about the software with your web designer. You could use Zen Cart or OsCommerce or any other popular Open Sourse solution. It is important to get a good support however. So it is not a bad idea to consider any paid subscription based services. You also need PayPal and any good merchant account.

Opencart by far the easiest to set up, customise and most importantly to maintain.
I have build a few up to 500-600 products and run the last 2 or more years with no problems at all.
