I got the same offer from logicsupport and serverwizards

which would do you think I should choose?

by the fast search I did, I see logicsupport has less reviews, but just good ones

I have seen a few poor reviews about serverwizards on here. I have not used either unfortunately. We work with got-management.com and they do a fantastic job. You should broaden your horizons.

in fact the problem is that I run freebsd+directadmin and very few companies work with that configuration

    Hello

we have been with both the companies

i used to be with logic support, they are a very good and friendly company and provide good support but sometime they lack in some issues

right now me and my partner also using server wizard for one of our server at limestone

and i have only good things to say about them, they made our server so stable , and good , they optimized well , and i must say that serverwizard rocks

overall i can say that both the companies are very friendly and having very intelligent techs.

i rate 9/10 to logic support

and i rate 10/10 to server wizard

    Hope this help

it seems it will be very hard to make this decision
I'll watch this thread for one more day or two
if I can't decide based on user experiences, gonna have to flip a coin

I have used LogicSupport and they are awesome. Great communication to the customer, quick response times, and very technically competent.

Well I tried to contact them through live chat but can't reach any one although it's active. Ticket was not answered and closed after a few day. Well it might be one of the misstakes all server admin companies made every now and then but so far I'm not really impressive with their service. They claim that they are premium security consulting and outsourced support but consider what happened ......well I give them benefit of the doubt

Thumbs up SERVERWIZARDS ALL THE WAY !

ServerWizards have been great to me, I've been using them for years now and couldn't be more happier. They manage all kinds of servers for me, with our without control panels, linux, freebsd, openbsd, openvz, they really know their stuff. Thumbs up SW!

    Question

    I signed up for serverwizards.

man, their support system looks scaring. No SSL on http://helpdesk.serverwizards.com/

how can I send in my root password to them via that insecure page?

that's not good, but for some reason it seems to be the standard on the management industry
all of which I used requested information to be sent by E-mail or an insecure server
but when I asked a secure server they could provide it (otherwise I'd be canceling anyway)

Sir, we will take your login credentials via different way, we updated you in the ticket. Once we inserted your IP/root to our management database we will create an account for you in our helpdesk so you never have to include your IP or root password in our helpdesk.

I do find it somewhat pathetic that you do not conduct your helpdesk transactions over SSL.

Amen. So you can give them your root password outside of the helpdesk in some secure manner. But then your helpdesk login & password are sent in clear text. If someone intercepts those they can direct your server management company via the helpdesk to open up a hole into the server or perhaps generate a backup and send it to their FTP server, etc.

In short, why would you trust a company that doesn't use secure practices for their own business to keep your server secure??

Sir, you don't know how our helpdesk works so stop accusing us of insecure practices, skyy asked us for SSL helpdesk and we gave it to him, an account has been created for him and no-one will be able to intercept it, he can access tickets using his email account only.
