If you planing to join aplus.net please read my post first and t hen decide.

Before i join Aplus.net I asked aplus.net sales
is epro plan true unlimited?
Unlimited bandwith?
Unlimited sql database connections?

and he told me yes. it's all unlimited

on 17-02-2004 day 37 after i've used aplus.net they sent an email to me telling me i over use the cpu resources, I need to either buy a dedicated server from aplus.net or my site will get suspended next day on 18-02-2004. when i am just getting 5000 vitsitors and 43gb bandiwht that time. but i was getting 5000 vitistors avg at day 10 already. they waited till after 37 days to suspend me so that i can't get refunds.

Then i eamiled billing@aplus.net right away was hoping i can get my refunds and explain to them why i want to get refunds. But they didn't reply me, and didn't suspend me afterwards. I didn't recive any email reply for them even now. still no email reply from billing whatsoever.

05-03-2004 my site suddenly got suspended without notice. So i called up tech support ask why. they told me site suspended for 48hrs for over cpu use. then I tell them atleast give me a notice if you r gonna suspend my site. and they aggree to put my site back up in few hrs on the phone. then 5hrs later I recieve an email from aplus.net saying My site will be suspended permently, if i want to keep my site i must buy a dedicated server from them.... This is FORCING ME TO UPGRADE THEIR SERVER without giving 2nd option.

and i replied to that email including the screenshot of that sales telling me database connection is unlimited. database is what using the cpu and if it's unlimited why would they count cpu load on my site? and Why they didn't suspend me t on 18-02-2004 to refund my money and have to wait till now to suspend my site??

I talked to tech support again about this issue on 5th they told me to wait for email reply. it will reply in 24hrs.

right now is already 3 days pass. and my site is still down. and no reply from them.


They don't seen to ever reply their cutsomers email and just force the cutsomers to either upgrade or bye bye your account is suspended and we keep the money..

This is true story it's not edited or translated in anyway. This is excetly what happened to me.

What i am angry about is. I tried to ask them which script is using too much cpu. and triy to fix it. even when they told me the sql database is unlimited,
Database is what use the cpu most They didn't reply my email.

When i request the refund they did not reply my email either and waited for 1 more month pass so that i can't request refund anymore then suspend my website without notice. And even now i been trying to connect to live chat support which they are ever online now.

This make me feels Aplus.net is trying to scam cutsomer in and then just make up any lame reason to suspend their member without refund. No email reply whatsoever. I really don't undersand why fair tradings allow them to run this kind of company.

I've signed up a new webhost today and transfering my domain to a new registar, coz Aplus.net forced me to transfer my domain with their domain company name4ever when i could just easily update the DNS name with my old domain registra, I don't care if i have to spend more money to transfer to a new domain registra i just don't want to use anything that's related to aplus.net anymore. But after 6hr i have request the domain transfer name4ever still haven't email me the aprrove transfer code...

Don't TELL ME THEY ARE LOCKING MY DOMAIN IN APLUS.NET THAT WON'T ALLOW ME TO EVEN TRANSFER AWAY FROM IT!!! I TRIED TO CONNECT TO LIVE CHAT TECH SUPPORT TO ASK BUT IT'S NEVER ONLINE!!

IF you actully spent the time to finish my post you should know how bad aplus.net is. Feel free to add comments if i say anything wrong.

This really makes me feel angry. and i really want my refund back. I am just runing a free anime community without even adding adverting banner to make money. Just want to provide a decent anme community for members can get together and chat on the forums. If you know any way i can get my cutsome rights or my prepaided 1 year service back please post an reply in here. Thanks for your all reading my post.

BTW there isn't any file more than 1mb on my site. so i really have no idea why they even suspend a site like mine when i don't really use the bandiwht to host big files.

How do i get my money back when the don't evne reply my email?

Sad `story indeed. But you guys got to quit looking for unlimited bandwidth and space. Do you guys think we web hosting companies get unlimited? Then why would we try to sell you unlimited?

Next time dont try to find unlimited there is no such thing on bandwidth and space.

Good luck and hope you do not fall for this again if you have a busy site seems to me you should not try to find the cheapest because this is what happens when you go with a so called unlimited plan.

Yeah i was a noob didn't know. and i tried to make sure with the sales jsut in case. the sales told me all unlimited. and it's true unlimited. i even have the screenshot but i can't post screenshot of the sales yet coz not enough forum credit :/ will attach it when i post few more theads.

Aplus.net is a good example of doing the worst when you are capable of doing the best as a company with good infrastructure.

My opinion? Here it is:

1) Any host that advertises UNLIMITED bandwidth or disk should be shut down by the FCC for fraud or minimum false adverstising. Hosts that LIE to potential customers just to get them in and then pull bait and switch when the client actuallly tries to use the services they advertise just piss me off and give the industry a bad name.

2) No pity to any dumbass people who believe these claims without doing research first. The reason they fall for this? Because they are cheap. They want it all for nada. Bargain hunters at their worst and when they get burned by their own stupidity, they whine on WHT....so tired of it.

Its indeed a sad story. Hope you get your money back and get your domain transfered to some other provider soon. Btw, did they show u any proof about cpu loads you made? Because i am pretty sure, one accoutn can't blast their cpu to max out.

True unlimited?

That would include downtime and suspensions but not refunds. You would have to get the limited package for that.

Nope they didn't give me any prove. and when I request the prove they just ingorne my email. and never reply. I did finally received an email today. After I sent out 4 emails total and called the tech support 3 times, also used live chat suppport 5 times. i'd use more live chat but they hardly on. :/

This is 5hrs later after i called tech support why my site got suspended without notice. and then finally i got this email. but the tech support on the phone told me my site will be back up in few hrs. well lies again what can i say.

I am having the account refunded for the time that you did not use the account, We do not shut down accounts like this unless it is absolutely necessary, I have over a 1000 websites on this server and I can not have one website effect the other 1000 customers that I have, We allow unlimited bandwidth and such as long as you don�ft effect the other customers on the server, but in this case it is.

How the hell can a website with avg 6000 vitsitrs over load half of the resources in their server????????? They are hosting 1000sites on the shared epro plan server? on a P4 2.4 with 2gb RAM only? 1000 sites?????? i think they've gone mad.

I really don't know how a standard postnuke website can overload half of hte resources in a server with only 6000 avg vitsitor per day.

What is wrong with Aplus.net how can they even run a business like this?

Their sales said earch server can host up to 500 sites. wow thats alot for a p4 already and now they hosted over 1000sites on a server and telling me i am overloading it? and Forcing me to buy their dedicated server without 2nd option. great nice way of sucking money off their cutsomers.

*note i didn't pick this company becoz it's unlimited and cheap. becoz when i browsing their website searching for a plan. the sales chat just poped up and started to offer me their plans. and tell me it's true unlimteid that's why i ended up buying it...... coz i trusted the sales. well I must be blind that time. what can i say.

They can run a business like this because people are greedy and they will pay for things like unlimited bandwidth without ever doing any research on the product or the company.
