Greetings,

In response to everyones concerns about what is 'really' happening with Ventures Online.

The timing of events and certain confidentiality obligations are driving what and when we are communicating. Please be assured that our main goal is to keep everyone informed and to focus on the critical events, such as the move. A 'formal' announcement will be done at the time our legal teams finish their work and finalize some details.

What I can tell you is that Ventures Online is indeed in discussions with another company. Those discussions are in a sensitive stage and are not yet completed. In any event Ventures Online, as announced to its customers, will be moving its offices and data center . The ultimate goal is to enhance the resources of the company so as to provide the very best products and services for its customers.

We expect that there will be some changes in roles and responsibilities, which will be announced when all of these details are finalized, but the current customer focus and core values of Ventures Online will remain the same.

As we stated in our original announcement, all of our staff are expected to remain and there will be no immediate changes. The changes we do anticipate will be made long term are in the Product Development area. Of course there will also be improved efficiencies and economies of scale, which we anticipate will improve customer support.

If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to newfacility@venturesonline.com. No further updates will be made to this post, but we are happy to answer individual inquiries.

Sincerely,

I'm not worried about the move. I was with them the last time they moved and had no problems. Besides, my server isn't moving until Dec 19 which gives lots of time for perfections.

I am curious about what exactly is happening, but either way, as long as the service stays the same, I'll be happy.

I knew about the VO thing for a couple weeks now, friend of mine, and whom I still work with, has over 400 servers with VO so its kinda how I knew about it, but what really is going to take place I dont think im supposed to talk much about it for certain reasons but I wouldnt worry about it, I have always liked VO.

The way they handle things has give them a 10+ in my book.

I notice that the venturesonline.com domain has been unreachable since last night at least. Does anyone else find this to be true?

It's worrisome, since their helpdesk system is in this domain, I need to open a support ticket per their instructions in preparation for moving my server tonight.

Boxman, I was reviewing some tickets in the desk this morning. I haven't had any problems from where we are.

Odd -- I can pull up all other websites normally, including this one and sites on my not-yet-moved server, but venturesonline.com comes up "Cannot find server"

I wonder if that domain is being served from the new facility. If anyone has another site on a server that has been moved already please post it and I will try it.

I am surfing from a Comcast connection.

Do you happen to be in NJ or PA? We had one customer report that Comcast was having network issues and was unable to reach anything at VO's current facility. According to him, the problem cleared up aboug 45 minutes ago.
