Beware Wholesale Internet trying to steal customers

I wanted to warn the WHT community. Recently WholeSale Internet registered joedatacenter.com a variation of my domain joesdatacenter.com and has it re-direct to their website wholesaleinternet.net. We are in no way affiliated with them. I can only assume they have done this to confuse potential buyers or steal customers trying to purchase from Joe's Datacenter. This is not only bad business practice but also possibly illegal.

If anyone has purchased from WholeSale Internet by mistake thinking they were contacting us please let us know as it may help with legal action.

as well it seems Datashack did the same thing some time back which is not surprising seeing as Aaron Wendel is an owner of both companies.

    Good luck Joe!

Hopefully things will work out and WII and DS will release those domains, or at least stop redirecting it to their sites.

Edit: Looks like the redirect moved to ripoffreport.com

Yes it looks like he moved the link to get back at me for starting this thread. It looks like the WHT thread I started about datashack, another company Aaron owns doing the same thing, has been removed from WHT?

I guess they're simply jealous of your business. Trying anything they can to take you down.
Is the name trademarked? If so, I think you can get ownership of these domains. -- though it's unlikely you've gotten the trademark for the words "Joe" and "Datacenter".

    Good luck

Wow, this is very unprofessional of the owner of these two companies to do this.

Thank you that must be it! And instead of doing the right thing and taking them down he re-directs them both to a complaint site. Very petty.

I would have thought they were all friends since they are all in the same building... this must make for some pretty awkward elevator rides...

its easy, even you can register those domains and put those information on. i don't think anyone would be idiot enough to put their own address when trying to steal anyone's customer.

Reliablesite.net has been running that domain for quite some time, I've hit it a few times myself.

Webair also advertises here. This isn't sneaky, it's general marketing practice, most large companies have hundreds of these.

How is it any different than using Google Adwords to target searches for your competitors?

I am not sure if in Google Adwrods, you are going to hit a brand directly to steal some customers?
