I have a VIA Nano server in France from Online.net. I haven't had any problems with internet speeds so far, just a few issues with processing speeds (which is common with a CPU like VIA Nano). I guess you get what you pay for. I should note that I'm running CentOS 6.5 (x64) on it.

    Here's a benchmark from it:

CPU model : VIA Nano processor U2250 (1.6GHz Capable)
    Number of cores : 1
    CPU frequency : 1596.011 MHz
Total amount of ram : 1974 MB
Total amount of swap : 1022 MB
    System uptime : 3 days, 2:17,
    Download speed from CacheFly: 50.1MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 16.5MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 13.7MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 7.26MB/s
Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 48.0MB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 46.8MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 722KB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 12.1MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 10.4MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 19.9MB/s
    I/O speed : 76.0 MB/s

Okay, so let's see. I've purchased one specially for you.. lol

    Download tests:

    MTRs:

As for the VIA processors: don't expect too much... The only reason why I've purchased this service is because we're toying to get the same servers for our proxying product.. Not a very good idea, btw.

The drives are 'meh', they're overpowered for what the server is.. but the network is OK, though!

I use OneProviders France location who resell from online.nets datacentre - Haven't had any network issues. Using it for hosting Minecraft, I have clients from both the US and the EU, EU is obviously better connection but we haven't had a single complaint from any of our US clients.

I am in the UK and also looking to purchase a server from these guys. However, I can't register as I get an error saying alphanumeric characters only for the username.

    Anyone seeing this?

  11. #11
Hey! I am new here. At webhostingtalk..
I think ''oneprovider'' is another good option for you. Because as i heard, additional IPs are 2.5euros. online.net providing ips for more than 50euros :/

    Search for oneprovider..
    That is just my idea

They take a while to respond to tickets, although i've had non critical issues, not sure if they provide faster response times depending on the issue.

Hmm I see. Worth a go I guess, as long as I get what's advertised.

The hardware seems top spec and cheap. (HP Proliant servers).

Yup, you have to agree with it. Once you agree, you can order it.
Their payment system is weird. You will find out the reason after the payment.

Lol ok. I think the issue is with Paypal for now anyway. The site itself is wierd, IE the error I got with the username.

I look forward to trying this out. How much are additional IPs?

P.S. sorry for hijacking this thread!

Their WOPR and PRO line servers are top end , very difficult to find any providers that meet the price specially for WOPR class, check my summarized review http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=8931040
Additional IPs Depend on support level and server range
Pro: 10 ips , +15 with pro support
WOPR 15 ips +15 with pro support

you can additionally buy subnet with pro support
