    1gbit for Brazil Stream

    Could someone recommend 1Gbit servers for 'legal' adult stream that has good latency to Brazil.

    note: it is possible future upgrades.

    Miami is the ideal location for this; this will provide excellent connectivity over to Brazil.

    What type of requirements do you have for storage?

    Miami would be ideal for you like Dustin said.

    How quickly will your content grow? I'd recommend to go with a 120gb ssd if your content will grow slowly. If you expect it to grow quickly, get a 1TB hd since that's what majority of the servers come with nowadays.

    How much of traffic do you use per month ?

    If low latency is not mandatory for you, anywhere in the US would do the same for you.

    If low latency is a need, maybe consider quoting in Brazil. Maybe it worth quoting a 1GBps port with specific amount of traffic transfer per month.

    Brazil is out of the question because of the values.

    1gbit full = 330TB approximately

    If you are not going to go somewhere within Brazil due to cost then the US will be your next best especially from a pricing point of view. Like others have recommended, look around the Miami area.

    Hit up QuadraNet -- they are IN Miami and will most likely match any competitors deals.

    Staff who can help me in this calculation, I thank you.
    1gbit full = 976562.5 Kbps
    1gbit full = 330tb

    My videos currently has no speed limit, if I put a limitation 512kbps per user.
    I could then have total '976562.5/500 = 1953 ' online users?

    this is correct my account?

    Not really. Only if you consider they will be all using the circuit the full time 100% over the night and day equally. If you are thinking on a normal usage pattern (during the day high and during the night low, or inverse) then you are looking at 1Gbps ~= 200TB.

    But 512kbps is not sufficient for HD streaming. 512k video is basically entry-level.

    For speed you will need SSDs to reach that capability.

    What is your budget?

    Thank you for the mention. We are actually just a couple of weeks away from having private peering set up between Miami (Terramark) and our Tampa data center. This would put us about 5-7ms from Miami.

    This depends on many things like the size & quality of videos that are being streamed, hardware being used especially hard drives, etc.

    I have seen filehosting server with 4x500gb 7200rpm disks in raid10,cpu amd x2 3.0g and when it had 1000 and some more users connected,server just went off because of io. I think even ssd cant actually handle that. You must do some deep research about it.

    I can not understand some datacenter.
    Some offer.

    1Gbit = 550USD
    now if I want upgrade link to 2Gbps.
    2USD for additional 1mpbs

    calculation:
    550usd = 1gbit unmetered
    1000x1mpbs = +1gbit = 1000x2USD = 2000USD for additional 1gbit unmetered, lol

    No companies specializing in video streaming hosting

    I'm trying to contact the http://reflected.net/ because I see that many use their services.

    For companies that really do not find to rent.
    2 Gbps, 3 Gbps, 4Gbps, 5Gbps

    For 1Gbps unmetered = 330TB, not to believe almost anything, so I'll need to upgrade soon, so I want a solution where I can be upgraded easily with decent prices.

    If anyone have any solution or already had to do the same I appreciate if you can help.

    well you dont seem to understand how overselling works.

    host sell 100 servers with 1git only half of users use alot of bandwith

    anyone looking to go over 1gbit is going to use over 1gbit so they get charged more.

    no one makes $$$ selling 1gbit server using 1gbit for $550

    I have never used reflected.net but since they look to be serving the managed market, I highly doubt that you can find a solution withing your budget with 1gbps unmetered port. I think you need to have more realistic expectations here. It seems like you expect a lot and not wanting to pay for it.

    Not! I want to pay fair, but as I show below, there is something unfair in values.

    but impossible to understand.
    1Gbit unmetered = 550USD
    2Gbit unmetered = 2550USD

    $2/Megabit is fair
    $.50/Megabit is FAKE and based off "hoping" you will not use full amount, this is called "OVERSELLING".
