Multiple Check Servers With Automated Failover
Our software allows you to setup several check servers running in various data centers. Checks are then run in rotation to ensure each site is working from multiple locations. If one location fails, the other locations will detect this and take the server out of rotation until it is back online.

Checks HTTP,HTTPS, DNS, Ping, IMAP, SMTP, POP3
ServerPing offers a variety of check types. The HTTP/HTTPS check allows users to search for a string on their website, if the string is not found an alert will be sent. The DNS check allows users to check and make sure that dns zones are resolving to the correct ip using public nameservers or a custom specified nameserver.

Email and SMS Alerts
When an alert is trigged the customer can choose to send an alert via Email and/or SMS. Your customers will be able to buy SMS credits from your WHMCS instance at any price point you set. We currently support the SMS gateways twilio and BulkSMS.

Notification Lists
ServerPing allows your customers to setup a list of contacts and set when to start alerting each contact, how often repeat alerts should be sent, and how many maximum alerts should be sent to each contact on the list.

Checks as often as every minute
Your customers can setup checks that will run every 1,5,15,or 30 minutes.

Customizable timeout and retries per check
Customers can set the number of times a check should be tried and how long to wait for a response.

Every checked is logged
Every checked is stored into the database and customers can view the last 20 checks along with uptime and response time statistics.

The front end is completely integrated in WHMCS
Customers interact with the front end completely from within their WHMCS client area. A server module is also included which allows for automated ordering and setup, and upgrades. The look and feel can be customized using smarty templates.

Sell packages based on the number of checks and the minimum frequency
Set limits for each package in order to offer more plans to your customers.

Automatic Install Scripts Included
Setup is easy, simply setup the number of check servers you want with fresh installs of Cent OS 6 than run our install script. It will automatically install everything on the server you need. Then install the WHMCS addon by copying the files to your WHMCS server, activating and configuring everything from your WHMCS admin interface.

ServerPing 1.03 has just been released and contains several great new features including:

-The Check Stats page has been redone with several enhancements.
You can run uptime and response time reports for any given date range by day, month, or hour. The report includes a google charts api powered graph and table with the results.
We added a new tab called Detailed Check Log which contains all the of check history for a given check. The results can be filtered by date range and pass/failed checks.
You can now view the failed check error message by clicking/hovering on the Failed link in the Detailed Check Log.

-The Checks, Contacts, API Alerts, and Notification Lists tables have been modified to use the DataTables jQuery plug-in. This provides pagination of the lists as well as a search box and sorting of columns. If a users adds a large number of checks they will now be easily able to find the one they are looking for.

-The ping check type has been updated to return more detailed error messages.

-It is important to monitor your MongoDB Replica Set that ServerPing uses. If one of the Replica Set members goes down you need to be alerted so you can look into the issue.
To help with this, we have written a custom check script that will check the status of your Replica Set. Make sure you upgrade ServerPing first, then follow the instructions on our Knowledgebase for setting up this check and downloading the script.

Version 1.02 Added the following great features:

-A new check type has been added called a HTTP/HTTPS custom script check. What this allows your users to do is create any kind of script on their server to check the health of a the server such as free disk space, mysql connectivity, etc. The script just needs to return a json result with three variables, result, error_message, and response_time. The result should be true if the test passes and false if the test fails. The error_message should be the error message you would like to log and be sent in the email alerts. The response time measures how long it took the script/check to execute.

-ServerPing now supports API Alerts, an API alerts allows ServerPing to send failed/recovered alerts to third party API's. A user can add an API alert then add it to their notification list. We have included support for HipChat, Campfire, PagerDuty, and Boxcar which allows for iPhone push notifications. We also added a generic Web Hook API alert type. This allows your customers to setup a script on an alternate web server from the one they are checking that will parse a json post containing the details of the alert. The variables available are listed when you Add/Edit an API web hook alert. This can be used to send/log alerts to any third party system.

-ServerPing will now report the error message returned by a check to be sent in the alert email and it also stores this information in the database. For example if an http check fails because the search string isn't found it will return an error message stating that or if a check fails because the domain will not result it will return that in the error message field. This will give your users more insight into why a check fails.

ServerPing 1.05 has just been released and contains several great new features including:

Public Reports
When a customer enables a public report for a check, they will be able to provide others with a special link to view the uptime/response time stats and graphs for that check.

Help Desk Alerts
You may now create a server monitoring/ServerPing package that will give your users the option to open a support ticket in the event of a failure. You can use this feature to offer a higher level monitoring with response package. By default the system works with the WHMCS help desk and we also offer support for Kayako v3 and v4.

Restrict Checks to only allow those you host
You can now create packages that limit customers to only adding checks that contain an ip or a domain that resolves to an ip that is listed in the clients WHMCS account under the dedicated ip address or assigned ip address fields in any of the clients services.
