Dedicated Server for Minecraft
Hey,
I'm looking for a new provider. I'm paying $119/m with RazorServers for:
Intel Xeon E3-1230
16 GB RAM
500 GB HDD (Primary)
250 GB HDD (Secondary)
Windows Server 2008
5 IP Addresses
10 TB bandwidth
KVMi
I need a server for long use. I don't plan on moving if the network is up to par, and the server's performance is as expected. I would prefer a larger setup fee and a smaller monthly fee, but I'm willing to take any offers.
This Minecraft server has 30-120 players online at all times. I will host nothing besides Minecraft and a WAMP server that will be used passively to transport data between the server and I. We're also going to be using phpMyAdmin and MySQL on this server.

Providers are not allowed to directly contact you with offers on WHT. I suggest you look around the Dedicated server's section for offers resembling what you need.
Take a look at Hostdime. If you contact their support directly they will be able to meet your needs.

Contact SecuredServers/PhoenixNAP they may be able to assist you. But that is a pretty darn good price for that server.

Yeah it is. I'm willing to pay more though for quality.
I had an extremely bad experience with SecuredServers that has led me to add PhoenixNAP to my list of DCs I plan to avoid.
I didn't know that, thanks TheWareHive. I've been in the dedicated servers category for a while now and can't find anything attracting

Always happy to help. Also, I know that if you order cPanel/WHM with your server it will come Fully Managed at no extra cost with Hostdime. Maybe they can work it out so that you can get the same deal since you needs windows hosting. Not too sure though. Never hurts to ask

I looks like he was looking for Windows based hosting to run MC on so cPanel / WHM woundn't work unless they offer management for enkompass (cpanel windows)

I'm not looking for cPanel or WHM. I'm using Enjin's CMS. I'll probably go with CentOS though, so I can save a few bucks, and get some more practice with terminal.

It shouldn't be an issue finding a provider then. Many hosts will offer management with the caveat being that you purchase cPanel/WHM (simply because cpanel/whm is a time saver for many tasks and therefore reduces overhead)

I second that. Seems you got a really good price on the hardware with them. Wonder what would make you want to search elsewhere.

The connection drops packets at random times. This is a developed server, and our first birthday is coming up which will introduce a fully custom setup that will be resource intensive. I expect there to be lots more players soon because we're putting up several advertisements on large sites on our birthday. RazorServers is already performing poorly and I'm not risking anything. They still haven't replied to my ticket since 48 hours, or forwarded me to support, or even refunded my account the difference.
