Hi,

We've recently moved our WHMCS install to a new server and we have an odd problem we're trying to puzzle out when ordering cpanel/WHM services.

When submitting an order, WHMCS will send an invoice confirmation email, new order notification email, create the account in WHM, and then time out with the error: "503 Service Unavailable: The server is busy, please try again later".

The order just stops, at which point we have to manually process it to get the welcome emails sent.


Obviously this is not what we want users to see. We've tried increasing the max execution time for scripts, but this doesn't seem to work. WHMCS support so far haven't been able to sort this.

Has anyone else encountered this problem before?

That is likely a memory limit (or max processes limit), possibly because the server uses cloudlinux, or some other software to limit memory usage or the total amount of processes that the account can run.

WHMCS can use quite a bit of memory, and I'd presume a few processes when its creating services or registering domains etc for an order.

Thats all I can guess from the info you've provided.

Whats the max processes & memory limit within Litespeed?

Very likely hood you will need to rebuild PHP for Litespeed

Have you attempted to switch back to Apache to see if the error is still present/outputting?
