Hi,
Our servers come with raid arrays controlled by a LSI mega raid card with bbu controlling the sata drives.
However for some reason they are provisioned with NO raid monitoring.
We just need someone to go into these servers as we bring them online and set up the monitoring for the drives.
Please state how you will set up the monitoring and the cost to do each machine. We just want it so as soon as a drive fails we get an email alert.
Some have suggested running smart testing on the arrays so we will see a failure perhaps before it happens?? not sure if that would work or would be a good idea?
