Any management company install Snort ..? DDOS filter

Hi,

I wonder any management company here install Snort combine with other thing to filter DDOS?

The problem is i get DDOS more often now. The attack is not bandwidth attack, but rather connection type attack so that the webserver overload and nonresponse.

So please suggest me a company can handle this kind of situation.

My server: CentOS 5.2

Thanks

Are you sure that you have to have snort? If it is Linux, just iptables based (intelligent) firewall and optimized (for high load) website could solve a lot of problems.

Hi, I am not sure if i need snort. But from what i heard. Snort can be used to determine the attack and filter it out with iptables rules.

Yes Snort can be used to determine the attack and filter it out with iptables, There other scripts as well to filter DDOS. but important which site is under attack you need to find that.
