And why would you need such? You might want to contact hosts and ask for it, you will see their reactions.

There maybe a few, but there will be strong security checks.

Offering VPS's as a trial would be heaven for spammers. So there will be many who wont. Plus VPS's cost significantly more than Shared Hosting.

I think only a few companies will give an account for try because TRIAL accounts are mostly used for spamming and hacking. If you want to learn something about VPS then buy a managed VPS and then try to learn something.
When you are little bit expert, then buy un managed and manage yourself.

Some host use moneybookers.com which would allow you to pay them even if you are in India.

Paypal is not the only way to pay. There are alot of other ways you can pay. Trial accounts will be hard to offer and plus after the trial will you start paying for the service?

Not quite a VPS--you're locked into Amazon's cloud computing framework.

I don't think I've ever seen a hosting company offer a free trial on a VPS. Spammers share their 'free hosting finds' with other spammers--any VPS free trial offer would be bombarded with spammers within days.

If you feel you have no means to pay, then why have a trial account? A trial account would last a maximum of one month - if your lucky and then what? Would you move your site to another trial VPS until that month is up? Hosts won't stand for that.

If I was you, I would stop looking for a free trial and find a host that supports a payment method you can use.

Right. Why are you asking about free trial while you are sure that you can't pay?

Exactly my thoughts... seems everyone wants something for nothing these days.

@OP, you can pay by paypal to almost ANY host if you contact them first and are willing to give proof of identity.

I suspect however this is more a case of [don't want to pay.] hope I am wrong though.

Find a provider that accepts a payment method you can support, such as Moneybookers or Alertpay. A lot of providers are starting to accept these.

many providers have several different methods of payment and they will list the different options of paying when you go to check out. you could always try contacting the providers to see if they can work something out with you.
