Whats the best Cloud Web Hosting providers?
Hey guys,
So I am looking for a Cloud Based Web Hosting and I was wondering which one is the best. I need to host a php script that outputs XML basically. I get around 10,000-20,000 requests to the php file every day uses about 20mb bandwidth a day and also is low on resources (im using a shared host but you know the shared hosts are not the fastest. cPanel says the max CPU i ever used was 1% and that's rarely).
SO I was wondering from your guys experiences which one is the best?

Cloud hosting is pretty new. I haven't found one that is more reliable then shared hosting, in fact they are usually much less reliable currently.

If you aren't scared Amazon AWS offers a free developer account with a micro instance, a ton of bandwidth, cloud storage and much more. I have a couple of small sites and scripts there and they are very fast. http://aws.amazon.com/free/

I think vps with cloudflare enabled is good choice. As far as I know coolhandle offers such feature.

Cloud Hosting is not all that new. It's a method of delivering computing resources and is basically an evolution of grid and virtualization, which both of those have been around a long time.
It's a shame some companies can't figure out how to actually build a reliable Cloud platform, but don't let the few bad ones in the bunch spoil your viewpoint for all of them.

Are you currently having issues with your host? It seems like you're not using that much resources right now.

It is not that it is not "reliable currently" it is more to how the provider manages the actual network and SAN drives. Ultimately if a provider was to give two hoots than sure it would not turn out so well, but then it can be said the same for normal providers, poor network maintenance, poor quality.
