    run /script/ucp and get Read-only file system on cpanel

    Hi,

    i run /scripts/upcp on my cnetos/cpanel,

    and i get the error,

    /scripts/upcp syntax OK
    Running Futex Check/Fix......Done
    Failed to write upcp pid file: Read-only file system at /scripts/upcp line 114.


    how can i fix it ?

    Try running /scripts/upcp --force

    The readonly error is most likely a drive error. You should backup your data and ask the datacenter to test the drive ASAP. If the drive is going bad, the only "fix" is to replace it. Rebooting may temporarily get it back to the normal mode but most likely it will happen again sometime soon.

    can i find the error log about hardware via /var/log/messages ? or any way ? thanx

    will centos/linux run fsck automatically when rebooting ?thanx

    will it need me to type "yes" or "y" ? if yes,i will need to console in front the server to do it,i think i can not run it via ssh,correct ? thanx

    I would consider not rebooting yet. There's a chance that the node won't boot correctly (or at all) if the hard drive integrity is compromised.
