Hello, I'd like to submit a review of Aspirationhosting.com as a happy customer of them since Dec (or Oct?) 2008, and I have been extremely satisfied with them.
Recently I have cancelled my subscription with them because I have moved to VPS as my linux skills increased and some of my projects requires root previliges. It took me months hesitating to leave a sound provider, but anyway I need to cut down expenses.
So I have got a 2 years story... I will try to be short...
Well I came to know AH while I was looking for a Magento hosting plan in the magento community. This company was very new in business by that time, but I saw quite a few good reviews about them. Before I use their service I had very good experience with hostgator and very bad one with just another magento host. So I decided to give it a try, and it proves that was a good decision for me in the following two years.
I had quite a few support tickets with them since then, and some of them were magento specific, and they were extremely fast and helpful to me. I'd like to give a chart of my "impressions" to make the story short:
Support: 10 / 10; Especially James, a very nice person, many thanks for him.
Uptime: 10 / 10; There was one significant downtime caused by IP changing, but that is my own fault because I didn't notice the email alert from them.
Price: 10 / 10;
Speed: 10 / 10;
Magento Specific Support: 9 / 10; The only 9 given because their auto-installer in the control panel was buggy for me, but who knows because magento is highly evolving and unstable by that time. Nobody can offer 10 out 10 support for its community nature.
Overall score: 9.8/10.
I highly recomend this provider for those who wants to have stable and reliable shared hosting service, especially you want to run your own magento store. (I have only used their basic plan - Aspire I, so I would only talk about my own experience. But I assume their more powerful plans should be sound stable too.)
By the way, this is the only host that I setup affiliate for, and I do recomend to magento community members and it seems they also enjoyed it, because I found most subscribers I referred have been using their services for a long time till the moment. If you have any questions about my post, please post here.
