Firefox (Latest Update)
Am I only the one who completely dislikes firefox 3.5? It has got to the point where I have opened up IE instead of even wasting my time with firefox. I am the type of person who opens a lot of tabs rather then closing ones I am not using, especially when I am working on something I can have up to 100+ tabs at once.
There seems to be some serious memory leak issues, even with 1 tab after about 3-4 hours firefox can use up to 800mb ram with ONE tab open, definitely time to switch browsers for me, any suggestions?
As well are any of you having these kind of issues?

I love FireFox and have had no issues like you expressed. Have you tired Opera? That is my next favorite browser.

100+ tabs, that's a lot of tabs. I had some issues with 3.5's older updates, but it works fine now. Try using 3.6 beta to see if that helps you.

Yep, I also got the same issue. Firefox uses so much memory although I just open a few tabs. Try to use Google Chrome...

Firefox has lost some of its power since other browsers come out with more features, speed and reliability such as Opera 10, Google Chrome, IE 8 etc. However it is still a very good browser but the memory issue I agree should be fixed.

I've been using Fire Fox was quite some time now. Ever since I realised Fire Fox displays my websites properly, I've been using it for webdesign.
Although, I never keep more than, maximum, of 30 tabs open at one time, I must average between four - fifteen.
Makes you wonder how we made it without tabs. xD
I have noticed that Fire Fox, out of Chrome, IE8, and Safari, uses the most memory on my Vista machine. With IE8 and Chrome fighting for least amount of memory used.Freelance Web DnD & Hosting Studio

if you've got 8 instances of Firefox open, with a total of 100+ tabs, please keep in mind that from every tab its full history is kept, even after closing the tab! You can close a tab and hit ctrl-shift-t to bring it back, including its full history! Ofcourse that uses a lot of memory! Especially when you've visited a couple of heavy websites. The solution is to close a few tabs occasionaly

I love Firefox. It's pretty much the only browser I'll use -- besides the occasional use of Chrome.

I had that same issue when using an rc of windows 7. I switchd to the final version, its only been a few days, but its better. With the RC of windows 7, as I updated firefox, I just kept running into more and more problems, and stopped using it for awhile. But it could just be me

You can solve all of your problems with Tree Style Tabs add-on for Firefox.
I would throw in some Find in Tabs and you can easily navigate through hundreds of tabs with multi-tab search functionality. I sincerely swear by it.Machen N. Mathews - Coinhost.io - Founder

The memory management in Firefox is terrible, it doesn't seem to release memory after a tab has been closed.
I have personally seen Firefox refuse to release 800MB after ALL the browser tab is closed and ONLY the Download dialog is open (Ctrl+J).
I'm shifting to Chrome now. While it uses more memory per tab compared to Firefox, it seems to manage them better (probably due to one process per tab thingy).
However, as a web developer, I can't live without the Firebug extension (and others). Chrome would need to release "Chromebug" soon!

FF 3.5 does seem (?) to have some kind of memory leak.
Closing the browser (saving the tabs first) and re-opening can solve the issue to a large degree, though it is inconvenient.

IE is worst. I can't even open multiple tabs! When opening a single tab, it takes hell long to open. How do you use it as an alternative to FF?
