    Advise needed: Client help

I have this client that order web hosting, he wants to host 2 domains, no problem. He signs up for hosting and give him coupons and he ask about domains. I told the client we do not offer domains registrations. But the domain he signed up with is not registered but the one he wants to add to his account is. I sent him an email(ticket) telling him to register the domain that was over 24 hours ago.

    What should I do?

Wait, or try a phone call (at a reasonable hour given his location).

I don't see what more you can do. You're going beyond the call of duty as it is.

Wait another few hours, then telephone the client. There is no other way to resolve this.

    Greetings,
In this case give him up to 72 hours to respond as he may be in the process of getting it set up. I would send a follow up e-mail to him as well. If all else fails, refund his money.

Ask him if he wants to change his addon domain to his main domain since his addon domain works.

Just remove the addon domain from his account and change the account url in WHM to his addon domain.

Make sure you change the url in WHMCS to the addon domain as well.

as far as I can tell he has not done anything to the account, He has also not replied to the support ticket but it will remain open. The domain is still available that he register with.

I will try and give him a call tomorrow at a decent hour.

Maybe he needs a little help. Try giving him a link or two to domain registrars you feel comfortable recommending. He may not understand the whole domain thing.

Why not just offer domain registration services? It is quite easy to do so. And you can be a one-stop-shop for potential clients (= more money for you).

    Hello,

Signup for enom and start selling domains! It's easy and fast. Also GoDaddy has a reseller account option (WildWestDomains) - Good Luck!

eNom are good, as are DistributeIT. Stay away from GoDaddy. If you get a complaint against your domain, they will cause you quite a bit of grief by shutting it down. Been there, done that before.

i would strongly advise against enom, have had loads of problems with them in the past, i only have 1 domain through them now and that is the domain i use for namesevers, cause like it or not, they are the fastest for registering nameservers.

To sell domains, i would strongly advise you register for a reseller account with netearthone, we work with them and they are very easy to deal with. In this day and age it does not make sense for a hosting company not to sell domains, if i were not hosting myself i would not host with someone that could not provide domain registration
