    Trouble with myvpshost

Hello I am a customer of myvpshost.com. My vps is down for 60 hours!!! I have sent emails. I used tickets. I called them from Turkey. Nobody answered.

I called softlayer, the datacenter provider. They said they cannot help.

More than two years, I had not any problem. But now, I am really going crazy.

    What should I do?

    60 hours!

My backups are too old. I need someone to just restart my server.

You don't have a web panel to access the VPS?

    That's bad service...60 hours jeez.

For my customers, as soon as a ticket is opened the alarm goes off on my iPhone

    Hi,

If you just need to restart the server then there is not way other then keep on contacting your hosting provider.

    From their site:

    - Hosted VPS = - Monitored Services = - Critical Services = 0 - Open Tickets = 1578
    Good luck...

I think what he was asking, what should he do? Not discuss your service.

taylankoca.... How old are your backups? Are you prepared to move? If you are in vulnerable state and have clients, then I suggest you start looking at another service immediately. If you are not in a vulnerable state, then I suggest maybe be hanging tight and hopefully you get resolution soon (but as well... start looking for alternatives for a future back up plan).

I wonder if you have got this resolved yet?

  11. #11
No I can not resolved it. I called softlayer again and again. They said they have no right to do anything to the servers they rent to myvpshost. 72 hours. It is the worst day of my hosting life.

72 hours is a lot of time, and no update from your provider?

  13. #13
    No! Nobody answers.

Email, phone, ticket, I tried everything.

At first I was going crazy. Now I am relaxed. There is nothing to do.

If you know a way to JUST A RESTART, please please please let me know. I have more than 30 customers, calling me frequently.

    Did you make backups?

I hope you did otherwise you'll have to start allover.

Did softlayer say if they paid their bill? Their main site is not hosted on softlayer.

No I do not have backups. I've already rent another vps in Turkey. But I need the files on the vps. It is really really really shocking!

Do you have SSH access to your server?

Wow that is definitely not a good sign. There are some that starts really good but after a few years or so just suddenly changes when it comes to good service is concern. I suggest you look for another one.

I'm trying to find a way. If this is a vps, the machine should be shared by other clients. If I can find them, they may restart all the machine.

    Is it possible?
