Just want to add that even a host that only supports IPv4 _but_ is running on the Xen platform, you can also enjoy IPv6 greatness by signing up at Hurricane Electric: www.tunnelbroker.net

Using Xen (which is the only platform that has the only working ipv4-in-ipv6 module to my knowledge), you can run a free ipv6 tunnel with reverse DNS in no time. Easy scripts to run are included at signup time.

I have a 7 dollar a month Xen VPS at VPSLink and it works like a charm and I have a handful of VHOSTS, even though they don't specify IPv6 on their website...

    great for IRC'ing too

    Code:
    optical is optical@ipv6.link-07.saitama.xn--48jwgybuise.jp * optical
    optical on #fta
optical using efnet.port80.se We eat more pussy!
    optical actually using host 2001:470:b:1e::ff
    optical End of /WHOIS list.
    Ipv6 rules!

from my experience, most major companies are not using dualstacked hosts for their websites. for example, even though google has ipv6.google.com, if you do a dig google.com aaaa, you will see the same result as leaseweb.com - nothing.
if and when i have the time to find out the prefixes for all these providers, i will post them.

So does Obtrix, the VPS's are in OVH's Roubaix DC (they used to have some in Chicago, unsure if that's still true) providing native IPv6 connectivity.

I could not verify if they do or not

I'm friends with the owner, and also the RPS plans for OVH have a fixed kernel to only support IPv4 (I purchased one around 5 months ago), Upon opening a support ticket they replied with: "IPv6 is for dedicated servers".

BTW: I posted a comment on your site but it didn't work as I planned, could you delete it please?

Dunno if it's changed, but before I left leaseweb, they didn't support v6 for customer-servers (natively), I think they ran SixXS tunnelservers though

I added DynDNS's Springserver VPS offering to your list.

I've been researching the last few days and am surprised that some better known hosts still don't have native IPv6 yet. I'm starting to get requests(as in a couple a week now) from some of my customers for the service I offer who utilize IPv6 for their infrastructure. I currently have several nodes at Linode but they don't offer this yet. I am planning expansion soon and really hope I can keep Linode in my mix of hosting providers I use. While tunnel brokers exist, I can't rely on them to provide the consistent latency and uptime I need.

It appears Slicehost also doesn't offer IPv6 support natively.

I think this is due to the fact that some VPS providers, even the big ones, have focused solely on building out their VPS services, without paying enough attention to the infrastructure on which they run. Infrastructure like their network.

They may get one or two (redundant) pipes from their colocation provider, and then they are at their mercy. Technically, they have no network of their own, they just buy Mbps in bulk from an upstream. If that upstream has no IPv6, then they can't offer it to their customers.

    Great work.
I hope that service provider does not force their clients to buy a new account to support ipv6 on existing servers.

Doubtful. As more and more providers offer IPv6 by default, the competition will have to follow suit or lose business.
