MDD is good, but I don't think they have redundant servers. For shared hosting, having redundant servers would double the cost, if not more.

Im pretty sure MDD has raid which gives you some redundancy and they also use litespeed. Also the reviews around WHT have ben great.

I was thinking the OP meant dual servers, as in two servers. That kind of redundancy. Then again, I guess it could have meant redundancy in terms of RAID.

    They are great
I have been with them for two years and am very happy with the service. Downtime over a two year period is something like 10 minutes. So I recommend them highly!!!

Redundant DNS but the servers themselves are not load-balanced or redundant beyond the redundant power and networking that is provided to each one.

You are correct, the servers themselves are not redundant.

Raid is good but I don't think this is the level of redundancy the OP was looking for.

As in two (or more) servers doing the same function so if one fails the other picks up the slack.

I would agree. Our clients on our LS server are extremely happy and have noticed a boost in performance over their previous non-LS server or some have multiple accounts and compare our LS server with our non-LS servers.

Maybe Litespeed should trademark Lightspeed as well.

I'll co-sign on that. PE is still my favorite of the hosts I have used.

I haven't had a desire to pay for lightspeed yet, is it worth it?

We have a sub .2 load with tons of active php/mysql sites, apache 2.2 mpm worker and mod_fcgid

(test plans for big sites ;D)
