I'd suggest doing a search on the forums here and look for reviews about them. In case if you couldn't find any helpful review, try to find out if they're a registered business, on a reputable network, email them and ask them pre-sales questions.

Best of luck in your VPS search.

Your best bet is to contact them directly and see how their responses are and if they fit your need Research can only get you so far also as opinion/experience do vary from customer to customer for most companies out there.

My JDC VPS is one of the fastest I've benchmarked. Highly recommended.

Mugo, you have a fivebean VPS also, right? How would you compare the two?

As far as performance, I'd say they are very similar. JDCs clocks in the upper 400s / lower-to-mid 500s, but both are over 400 on total benchmark consistently.
Support-wise, both are great. Joe's is very much above-average and excellent in support, and this is absolutely not knocking them by any means, but Fivebean goes completely above and beyond in the support department. Most of the companies I use have wonderful support, but Fivebean really shines in this department.

Uptime from both are excellent, and about the same percentage-wise.
Both have web-based control panels, with similar functionality (most importanlty, providing remote on/off/reboot control).

If I had to pick one over the other for any reason, it would be a very hard decision. I've had little to no trouble with either service, and both have rectified any issues swift and accurately, with good communication.

That's great to hear. What about the network for each? Have you done any speed tests?

Yes, both are pretty similar there, also. Downloading 100m bin files from various locations, I get 4-6Mbps, Joe's faster from some locations, Fivebean faster from others.

did you say DME hosting? better use the search button first before deciding based on cheap price! the rule of the thumb is you'll "always" get what you paid for.

Agreed, I got a VPS from DMEHosting a while back, had nothing but downtime, even after they moved my VPS to a different node.

mugo, can you comment on what kind of hardware your VPS with Joe's is on?
