Does server.lu ,leaseweb support indian residents
My primary concern is p2p[bittorrent]
I guess ovh wont support india.........it was good
Code:server.lu features
This is what you get:
# Unmetered data transfer, in- and out-bound
# Unmetered data transfer within our network
# Improved external and internal connectivity
# Genuine 100MBit speed
# No Extra Bills
Our bandwidth policy was developed to ensure that every customer gets his fair share of the total bandwidth available. Consequently, we take into account that no customer could cause slow connectivity for others.
This is why bandwidth intensive applications as:
# Sex sites
# Streaming
# Net radio
# Large FTP sites
# Proxy servers including TOR
# P2P
# IRC servers
# BitTorrent
and similar are not covered by our unmetered services and that misuse will automatically incur a connectivity restriction after prior notification.
Code:Does the above mean it meters p2p services or it doesnt support them ? If it meters them ,then wat is the traffic/month ? Do server.lu supports indian residents?
Code:Do leaseweb.com supports indian residents? If it does ,do it support p2p ?

OVH accept orders only from some countries.
Bittorrent and P2P for your own legal software distribution or to download legal stuff from p2p is accepted on both companies.
For less legal reasons, well.. based on what friends and people I know tell me, these two companies don't look for what you do with the server so as long as they don't receive a lot of dmca complaints or abuse mail, they don't care.
With server.lu as long as you don't abuse the bandwith offered (let's say don't go over 8-10 TB a month out of possible 33TB that 100mbps gives you) you'll be fine.
My understanding of the quoted text from server.lu is that their promise of 100mbps unmetered is for regular websites if you have sites or services in that list that constantly use a lot of bandwidth, you may be asked to pay extra for "premium quality" bandwidth.

wow thanks
(let's say don't go over 8-10 TB a month out of possible 33TB that 100mbps gives you)
do server.lu has any country limits ?
hey guys i tried to contact all of them before asking for help here........no help yet [tickets are reserved]
i use bittorrent for downloading movies[ok illegal] , but i dont want to share a single illegal MB with others from my server.
so if in eiher cases ,rather if we download or host a website ,we will be safe if i stay within 8TB limit, right?Last edited by bloodmage478; 09-20-2009 at 05:14 PM.
