How to get my own netblock of ip's?

I using netcraft extension for firefox which shows me everytime when i visit site who is owner of netblock ip.I noticed 10tb have two netblocks:
first ip belongs to softlayer, and rest of it to 10tb(hosting services). So i guess they got ip directly from icann or who is in charge for that and routed it to main ip which belong to softlayer. So can i get my own ip netblock with my own name?

You can join RIPE (for European providers) or ARIN (for American providers) - but you'll need to provide justification for IP usage as well as guarantee a certain level of usuage (e.g. 75% utilisation with 18 months; but i forget the exact figures).

Where is your equipment located? Do you run your own BGP network (do you have an AS number)?

You need to have an AS number and apply to RIPE

i don't think you'll be able to get your own block of IPs just for dedicated servers. I would see it work with colocation, but you'd need some kind of physical access to everything.

But I'm not really sure how that works yet - we are still pretty far from getting our own block of IPs from ARIN (or RIPE)

Yep i see your netblock name is theplanet.Wouldn't be nicer to have JunaWeb as netblock name?

Also,i don't think that should be too hard, for example take a look at netblocks of citrix company:
    http://xen.org/ Netblock:xensource
    http://citrix.com Netblock:citrix system inc
One company two netblocks,so there must be easy way to get them.

Isn't this a lot of money to pay just to get a tool (that most people don't even use!) to show your own company name?!?!

Your prob. not going to be able to get your own IP block because you wont' be able to justify a big enough block (I believe the minimum is a /20 from AIRN and I'm pretty sure RIPE is the same). I believe what you are really looking for is to have your IP block SWIP'ed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swip) to you. Not all DC's will do this but it shows that the block is assigned to you and then your name will show up @ Netcraft etc.

If you have enough of a range on your own equipment, say a /29, you can have your provider SWIP the IP Range to you if you have them use the Detailed SWIP form then you can have them point the RDNS to your own DNS servers. It is not a hard process, just supply the info and they fill out the form to submit to either ARIN or RIPE. Follow the link that ffeingol posted and from there you will find the links to either ARIN or RIPE's SWIP forms and instructions pages.

Roguehost, I guess if you are as large a company as Citrix, then maybe you could justify a block of IPs. But we have to buy them one at a time as we need them. You sure need to show how you will use most of them in the first year.
