Does it not bother the WHT staff that many of their members rely on a domain they do not own? This would make me feel "uncomfortable", especially when it doesn't work right.

We have no control over how members choose to access WHT, or if someone chose to graciously redirect a domain to here. Personally, I've never used the "wht.us" version, preferring to visit once and bookmark.
It would appear at first glance that it's a defacement of the index page, which probably means that they were using a header redirect, and the hacker defaced that index page. Had it been htaccess or a DNS redirect, you'd never see the hack.Your one stop shop for decentralization

The story thus far:
A script kiddie attack on a range of IPs, on domains hosted on an apparently unsecured server (that's the pitfalls of shared hosting). The perpetrator made sure all subdomains/addon domains displayed a page with supposed "muslim" content. Looks like a provocation, rather.
The server is being rebuilt, from what I was told and then the /home will be restored. It's unfortunate and only the second time in 10+ years I've used shared hosting.
