    Moving on up...

Well since I've been leasing a server for nearly two years (about to be two years), I want to expand and rather than leasing another two servers (one VPS and one secondary shared node), I thought about buying the servers (approx 1 grand each) and then colocating them.

    So some quick questions...

    1. What company do you recommend for buying custom built servers?

    2. For licenses (like cPanel, virtuozzo, etc), would I buy direct or would I be able to go through the datacenter I'm colocating in?

    3. Name some good providers around either New Jersey area or Dallas (between those two areas I have no idea where else to go lol)
    Nothing here right now.

    1. http://www.icc-usa.com/

    2. Most DC/Providers would colocate with have licensing they can pass on to you.

    3. Dallas you can't go wrong with core exchange

    Agree.

Look at JaguarPC for colocation, they get GREAT cPanel and Virtuozzo pricing, and can get you dirt cheap colocation in Dallas and Atlanta.

Thanks for the suggestions, seems all of you like Dallas a lot. (Must be a party down there or something lol)

Anyways does anyone have experience with sharedlayer.com ? Their pricing for equipment seems a bit cheaper than what I've seen, so just wondering if anyone has experience with them.

They're a reputable provider, Dominiq(Though her MSN spells it Dominic) is very professional and should be able to hook you up
