    WHMCS alternative

Is there any billing panel with bulk domain registration/update/transfer option for customers?

ModernBill seems to be the choice of most of the larger companies.

Modern Bill 4 is what they use mostly.

Yep I've used both modernbill and WHMCS. I stick to WHMCS thesedays especially since the "downfall" of MB.

After an old modernbill 4, the company spend a lot of time to rewrite the system for modernbill 5. All clients waited a long time for that release to see new features that were default in most new systems.

However modernbill 5 was a disaster for most people, very buggy or slow etc. The company failed to meet expectations. Some clients downgraded to modernbill 4, some left for other systems. Modernbill 5 was never a success, and modernbill 4 was old.

After that the company was bougth by Parallels, a company that most people don't like because of their "acquire everything" policy. Many products they acquired were either discontinued, or provided very little updates.

So people lost hopes for modernbill, and thus the downfall.

Parallels screws everything up when they buy out products, another good example is with Virtuozzo & SWSoft.

Actually IIRC, the owner of Virtuozzo, SWSoft, acquired Parallels, and then changed their names to Parallels.

I would still recommend WHMCS above everything else.

However, if I were to go for a system that is an alternative to WHMCS, I'd deifnitely go for WHM AutoPilot.

The only two things I'd consider replacing WHMCS with is AWBS and UberSmith.

AWBS is great for domain management, not my cup of tea for everything else.

Best all around hosting manager is UberSmith, imo. Wonderful product!

Most hosts seem to try to stay away from free software like cP Creator and phpCoin. However, I have seen a lot of hosts using LiveZilla which is a free customer chat software.

Before I became an AWBS Reseller, I used the product for a while. I can say it's the best I've ever tried. Not sure what can other products do that AWBS can't

Ubersmith is great but the shopping cart interface is hot garbage, imo. I keep telling Boo we'll move back to Uber if they get a decent shopping cart.

Currently the best Domain Management program out there other than WHMCS is AWBS. They continue to keep things working - though their design and approach is a bit outdated, their product works.

phpcoin, yes, I don't like it either, but not just because its a free script, it's not good. I like your example, livezilla in all honesty is awesome
