Be glad, I am experiencing random shutdowns on my windows box, apparently, it's my software. Duh, it's working on several other servers, and no crappy reboots at a 24h basis!

Need recommendations ASAP, I am getting tired of this!

You might want to make a new post for recommendations. And try the offers section. I'm looking frantically.

I think that BurstNET should step up to the plate here and add service time and money back to accounts that were affected by this, oh wait the SLA is pretty much crap.

This is by far the worst DC i have delt with, and they don't even allow IRC.

Definitely take a look at the offers section. There are a few decent promos running right now.

Thanks to this thread I will be giving Burst some time to "prove" themselves before signing up with them. I was going to sign up for one of their specials but definitely not now.

I know all companies have hiccups here and there but this seems to be much larger than a hiccup.

Hopefully I will be relieved to see Burst step up and take care of their customers both $$ and with time if that is what the SLA provides.

Going to have to on this.

We are at the Burst facility right now working with them to resolve
these issues. Basically, their core router had a bad supervisor card,
which was replaced last night. Todays problems were caused by faulty ram
in the router. Tonight they ended up just replacing the entire router
with a new one and we are back online and should be fine. Please let me
know if you are having any further problems. We are very sorry about all
    of this.

Personally I would stay away from any services provided directly from BurstNET/Nocster or any other places re-selling dedicated servers using BurstNET bandwidth, there response time to mission critical task is a disaster.

As Volume Drive said, they told him it was a supervisor card and ram, they told me this three days ago, three days of packet loss is just not go0d business from a established DC nor is being neglectful of such a crippling issue, I have reviewed Burst's SLA and my legal adviser and I are discussing possible action if they fail to abide by it, as they denied that there were any problems this morning, before the rapid failures even after our security team insisted on graphs of failure.

    Honesty is the best policy.

    For the sake of asking....

1 bad supervisor takes out the entire network?

Makes me glad I didn't sign up with one of their resellers, Volumedrive It's unacceptable, Burstnet has been in business for a long time. Oh well, those deals sounds too good to be true. Maybe they are not not giving all the details for the downtime.

Exactly Ryan exactly.... So they have one router for a whole network?

nah, it was a misconfiguration or them just twiddling their thumbs while everything went to $&!T.

They do not give a c%4P about clients apparently.

In the mean time does anyone have any recommendations for a dedicated solution that includes cpanel/whm for a decent price.

That is taking it a bit far.

Anyone remaining with this company is DIRECTLY and PURPOSELY increasing their chances of network downtime.

We left Burst after dealing with this crap every 2-3 months and I couldn't be happier.

This company should be ashamed of their network. I think it's down more then it's up.

Make the switch now guys... it'll cut down on replies to the next Burst network outage post.

12+ years -same website , new server [SSD Inside] providing shared/reseller hosting only !
These things we do not provide/offer : Unlimited Storage ! Unlimited Bandwidth ! But Why? Cause, we were unable to put such a large number on our pages, it just would not fit.
So check out the numbers that actually fit >> << the page as well as your budget too !

And rightfully so. Honestly, I'm not one to come on here and bash hosts. Even of all the hosts I no longer use, you likely won't find me posting about them here because I'm fully aware that a bad host to me, might be a good host to you. With that said, Burst is the pits. Sure their prices are cheap but the network is horrible. We put up with a network issue every 2-3 months for roughly a year.

We finally left for http://www.voxel.net and I couldn't be happier. It's been almost half a year now with no downtime and the support team is AMAZING.

Anyways, this is just my opinion. They have thousands of satisfied customers so they're doing something right. I just don't feel comfortable putting my clients on a network that IS KNOWN to go down. It's unfair for them.

    Best of luck.

I suppose i give them a shot for 1 - 2 months and lets see how it goes.

    Damn you.
i ordered a server last Monday, and it's not up yet. i though i'd get it for this weekend... prolly delayed cause all the issues they had this week. would make sense imo.

i was hoping to host some stuff (game servers and such), but anyways
i guess i'll try it 2-3 months hoping they fix things up.

Hmm for game servers it might not be good as i heard if ping and latency is the issue with them.

yeah, and the worst is that i wanted to host some Quake and UT game servers... where good stable ping is nearly crucial :\

To shed a little light on your situation zpliskin, the service we offer is a streaming voice service for gamers. When the network was up, it was good for us. Sure gameservers are more demanding but I don't think you'll see things as bad as some make them out to be. It's the network "OUTAGES" that drove us away.

I will see, i hope you are right.
Benji from Burst was actually really helpful for the past days / week, and i got absolutely no issues whatsoever with them. (other than that server setup not done yet, 4 days ago :\)

hope things still go as smooth as possible.
