How long does domain forwarding take
I just registerd a new domain name with godaddy and immediately forward this new domain to my old domain.
how long will it take for the forwarding to take into effect? Thanks!

Up to 24 hours to propegate authough its usually faster

It Depends.
Sometimes take effects in less then 1 hour.
At least i saw this on my ev1 domains.

My namecheap one updated within a few hours too. Guess it just varies

it shouldnt take more than seconds.. its just forwarding, not a name server change. Day godaddy is slow, seconds could become minutes.. but no more
