Best backup and restore software!
Greetings,
Can anyone recommend me good and reliable backup and restore application to do daily tasks like:
1) Incremental backup, daily backup, full backup
2) Backup whole system (Windows).
3) Restore Windows when it's not loading.
I found Norton Ghost. Is it any good?
Thanks!

Acronis is decent if hardware compatible, or Symantec LiveState.

I use Norton Ghost to periodically take a snap shot of my hard drive, and use Pico Backup (and a modified version I run for remote backups).

Norton ghost can run from bootable floppy, bootable CD, even a bootable USB memory stick. So yes it is easy to restore a "snapshot" provided its on the same hardware. Using drive images can become tricky if you need to restore onto a new machine and its hardware is different from the original.

I use IBM's rescue and recovery, not sure if you can buy it or if it's only for IBM systems.
I've also used Norton Ghost and definitely recommend it.● GotPing Internet
