Arrow searching ASP.Net/PHP hosting (really really tired and dissapointed)

    Hi WHT!

    I am a webdeveloper. ASP.NET/PHP.

I would like to start a website where I will put some articles on web-development and some live demos.

    So:

    Space:.............................below 1GB
    Transfer:..........................about 1GB
    Domains pointing
    to different folders
    under the same account:............3-5
    Databses:..........................MS SQL 2-3
    ...................................MySQL 2-3
    Programming languages..............ASP.NET and PHP-5

    Budget.............................$50-$100/year
The budget is to be discussed, I really don't know what are the current prices for starting, but reliable hosting. Need advice.

    Basically that's all.

I really searched the Google and other resources, I've found a lot of hosters -- all of them are so nice on advertising some of them even have good "reviews". Then I read a lot of other contrary reviews.. Some other people say -- all that reviews are fake etc etc etc

    Im really tired with that.

What I need is WEBMASTER who is using the host and will advise me one.

    First, Welcome to WHT!!
You have landed at a perfect place where you will be getting the most authentic and reliable reviews and suggestions. Your budget should be just fine to get quality hosting for your requirements.
There are lot of webmasters here and I'll leave upto them propose a host they are using.

    Good luck!

    Arrow thanks, I know

A few years ago, I already had account at WHT and the forum is very usefull. I lost the account so opened new one.

Yes, really, I am waiting for the webmasters who can advise me host-from-their-experience.

Or maybe some hosters have free N days trial -- that would be very nice.

Guys -- the winner will have me as a client for years.
I am very serious to start a web-developer blog/tutor page, with little commerce on it. In the course of time I am going to upgrade to my personal server. So it would be perfect if the hoster offers VPS/dedicated server too.

    Waiting with real hope!!!!!

You can get in touch with the sales/support department of the host and I am sure they'll be able to setup a test account for free.

    Good luck!

The hosters are not allowed to advertise in these forums and hence you will need to visit the offers section for shared hosting at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4

    Good luck!

    Arrow But!

By the rules of that subforum, I am prohibited to request hosting from them.

    Strange rules...

You can get in touch with them directly through their website addresses / contact forms / sales contact. I am sure that it is not prohibited

    Cheers,

    * Very Easy...

    Hello All,

I gone through above discussion. But its not so difficult to find a good hosting company. I have relevant work experience of 3+ years in webhosting as Sys Admin. ASP.NET , Php, Mysql, MSSQL are very common things that all hosters provides. Most imp thing is the Technical Support of that hoster. I can suggest you too many good and quality hosting providers...

I am sure I will go with reliablesite.net as soon as I manage myself a credit card
