    * AMD Package 3 & Celeron 1.3 Servers, $99/mo!!

    Hi guys,

Well this week, we have two offers, and are as follows:

    AMD Package #3 Server:

    XP1700+ Processor
    1GB RAM (3GB Max)
    2 x 60GB 7200 RPM Maxtor Drives
    Hardware RAID (Levels 0, 1, 0+1)
    3com 10/100 NIC

    99.5% uptime guarantee
up to 32 Free IP Addresses
    400gb/mo transfer
Port monitoring for: Ping, FTP, SSH, SMTP, HTTPD, POP3, DNS
    MRTG Graphs
    APC Access (Remote Reboot Port)

This server currently has FreeBSD 4.5 on it for optimal performance, but if so desired could be loaded with any other OS (including a windows variant should the appropriate media and liceses be provided by the subscriber).

We're letting this beauty go for $275/mo, Free setup, unfortunatly this server had been setup as a custom order for a high end client, but they have defaulted on multiple payments, so we can no longer hold it open for them.

Also, we have a new offering we're bringing to the table:

We intend to fulfill the first 5 orders of the following as a test batch for the intel market:

    1.3GHZ Intel Celeron
512MB RAM (1GB Max, Asus Motherboard)
40 gig 7200 RPM (Maxtor) drive
    300gb/mo transfer
up to 16 Free IP Addresses

    APC Access (remote reboot port)
    99.5% uptime guarantee
Your choice of OS (no extra charge for other OS's, if not a free OS, license/media must be provided by subscriber)
Free Port Monitoring: Ping, FTP, SSH, SMTP, HTTPD, POP3, DNS
    MRTG Graphs

    $99.95/mo, $249.95 setup

    OR

$79/mo, $389.95 setup, and client owns the server (3 month minimum contract).

We will also add CPanel onto any of these packages for $65/mo, and if you're interested in reselling such servers for us, or bulk purchases, please enquire, we'd be more then happy to work with you .

Also, all the celeron servers will require 1-2 weeks setup time as they will be individually built and tested by our techs custom tailored for that customer (if you desire other server modifications, time of order would result in it being done at cost).

I understand theres been a lot of demand for us to offer a "lower end" server, and frankly i couldn't stand the thought of offering "cheaper, but lower quality" servers, so in keeping with our tradition, these servers are all name brand and top quality.

If you've got any questions, just let me know. I'm aware theres other cheaper providers out there, but not that provide semi-managed servers of this nature .

Oh, BTW, we also might be offering port monitoring for people in other NOC's, if you're interested in such a service as your current NOC doesen't offer it, don't hesitate to get in touch with me .

On the second offer, what is the bandwidth provider? Do you have an IP to ping? So for $389.00 and $79.00 I own the server? So if after 3 months I was unhappy with the bandwidth I could colo it somewhere else? How much are extra IPs past the 16?
Extra HD for backup and extra mem cost?

Sorry for all the questions but is is coming up on time to get another server and the offer is attractive.

Also PM or email me on the resell possiblities.

    Thanks

You can ping 66.28.75.234, they're all hosted on our Cogent link, which has MRTG graphs for the whole network available publically on our members page at http://www.prioritycolocation.com/members.shtml

Yes, for teh second, you would own the server, and if you choose to colocate it elsewhere, then you would have to pay the shipping charges to yourself, or the other provider (unless of course they had a ups account that it could be directly billed to). I think if you search around the forums, you'll find we don't have many (if any) unhappy users, so it's not been an issue to date.

After 16 ip's, they $1/mo per ip unless otherwise arranged
Extra hdd's is $90 for a 40 gig 7200 maxtor (one time fee)
Extra RAM (512mb, name brand, 32x8 low density) - $120 (one time fee)

hope that whets your whistle as i'd love to move you on board. We've designed the packages to help move over customers who want the lower price without lower quality, and added the option to own the server off the bat (for what i would note is a very reasonable fee) to help people who might have cold feet on a large setup fee (as i've seen numerous people get burnt elsewhere).

Owning the server ... whoho ... this is really GREAT.
When I make money with my (soon to be setup) server ... maybe I get some one with you

    Hi porcupine,

I try to contact you via ICQ and AIM without any response as I am curious to know more about your second offer

Anyway, I would like to know whether does the ASUS motherboard support the Intel P3 or P4 processors instead of Intel Celeron? I am not very sure about it thus asking... any url to read more about the motherboard?

Is the server a 1U server or what?

    Thanks.

    Kindest regards,
    Choon

nice offer!! However I have a question....

In some other offers you provide free IPs. For this server you are charging people for them. Can I get 50 IPs for free or for a one-time setup fee?

    Hi there Chnoon,

It was that magical "porcupine finally falls asleep" time .

Yes, the asus board also supports the p3 series, but not p4.

    www.asus.com has more information on the product, it's a "tusi-m" motherboard .

The server is a midtower, though they could be built into 1u, we have tons of space currently

and universal2001: No, currently we do not provide free ip's because everytime we've tried to offer a special like that, we've had negative response (because typically we offer quite a few without monthly/setup fee's already). We tried this once before and go the following 3 responses: 1. Can I have 128 ip's? (no justification), 2. Can i setup a shell server on your network? (again, not what we want), or 3. I want 40 ip's, for IP based hosting! (sites that did not require IP based hosting).

Overall, i found this to be a very negative response, and i saw no reason to offer a limited resource as "unlimited".

what about a one-time setup fee if I buy IPs in bulk? For example... $50 per 50 ips?

It could be discussed, and possibly done in the future, but not at the time of this offering (enquire within if you'd like to know why).
That and theres just too much going on (this stirred up stuff quite a bit more then normal, so digging extra work isn't what i'm looking for .

    Ummmm...

If you can't give a justification to get the IPs then how can they give ARIN one????
