new ordered dedi server has running with 73 days with all wired settings?
HI all,
I am not sure anyone in here has same experience, I have ordered new dedicated server from XXX (not disclose their name for now) in US,
after I received welcome email, login with root password they provided, I found my server has been running 73 days, and when I check my memory usage,

lol
Tell them that they apparently forgot to reformat it - ask for a clean OS install.

Check cpanel license, may be someone else used the server before you but cancaled now,so they setup it for you without OS reload.

You'd be better off with an OS reload considering the clients files are still on there. Any datacentre worth there salt would pretty much force it.

You are right..the server may have some changes. Better do a reload. In fact, you should get a clean server from the start.

Plus, it is possible that the server was compromised at some point.

I am really curious what dedicated host is forgetting to clean up servers before reselling them.
