Email to Web converter
I'm looking for an email-to-web type program. Something like good ol' MHonArc but not nearly so ugly.
I found this, but it's written in Lisp and won't really compile on most of our hosting environments:
Macho
I'm a little surprised that nobody has written such a thing for any of the message forum apps out there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I would study up on Email Piping, and PHP...
Also, check out http://www.hotscripts.com and http://www.resourceindex.com for scripts and portions of scripts you could use.
Search google too. Generally speaking, a peice of email piping code is a fairly big because of all the things it has to do. Not as long as alot of things, but it would take awhile to rattle out the code from scratch.
You might try looking at Macho and seeing if you can convert it.Dan Sheppard ~ Freelance whatever

I checked all those resources -- I think web-based email archives are thought of as somewhat anachronistic these days. RDF is probably stealing some of those resources away, though it's not a complete solution.
I'll probably start by setting Macho up on an office machine and cron the conversion and ftp-mirrors and see how that works. Macho may be worth converting -- it's not a huge app.
