Benefits of Attending HotsingCon?
I'd like to know the biggest benefits people received from attending the HostingCon convention.
Exposure to new technologies?
Networking?
Drumming up new business?
Other?

Mainly the partying, etc.
Not much new technology their you cant find here online.
Sure thier is some good networking, but again, that goes on at the partying.
I woudlnt expect to find new business their if you are a shared hosting company or anything. If you do dedicated/colo or have services to offer to the such you might gain new business.Eleven2 Web Hosting - World-Wide Hosting, Done Right!

like Rod has stated - the main gest of it is networking - hearing a few speakers - and seeing some of the new tech coming - but much of which you can find online. the one big benefit is putting a face to many of the services you might use.

Its all about meeting people you do business with on a daily basis but may have never met in person!
Also if your looking to expand your hosting offerings or add services, maybe outsourced support or a site builder... then HostingCon is a useful way of having a chat and a demo of those types of products from multiple solutions providers in the same expo hall.
Some of the seminars/talks are ok, and some are woeful
