Question Remote management options what do you use...

What if anything do you use to remote manage your colocated servers ?

Obviously if they're up & running there's VNC/Terminal Services/pcAnywhere etc, but what about bios level management ?

Does kvm over ip realy work ?

Do you have a management card inside the server ?

What about machines that won't boot without a keyboard attached ...

I am also looking for some affordable KVM over IP solutions, however the only decent one I found was dell's, and it started @ $4500 +.. I'd settle on 1 remote user, but would prefer 2 +

Avocent seems to be come up alot in KVM over IP solutions. They do come around ebay some times, but there is very little.

Yeah.. ouch.. I'm looking for a solution for my dedicated customers.. I want to expand services by providing them this solution.. however it's just not cost effective... yet.
