Hi, thanks
Do they require email validation of any account changes such as a password change?
Do they offer such security measures as external document validation before allowing any domain transfers or DNS changes?

I think that Moniker is known for it's safety by most domainers. Fabulous is also pretty good also. I wouldn't recommend the other 3 registrars for their safety.

The question is what kind of security you are looking at?

The same here. I'm just curious: what are you looking for in terms of security?

Security for account in a domain registrar usually concerns with the following
1. Logging in (password / password hint)
2. Profile details (name, email, address etc)
3. Domain control (transfer/push, whois details, host records, etc)
4. Funding (adding funds)
Registrars like Fabulous and Moniker provide additional security features like email alerts when changes are made or requirement of additional security key or challenge/response. Namecheap also provides for for email alerts for login, profile and domain changes. (this is optional...user can turn it off)

I use GoDaddy me myself and I'm happy with them , however, if you are looking for the top secured registrars then I would recommend networksolutions as I've heared that they're good at securing your domains.

have always liked eNom or namecheap. They are very secure. Never had ANY issues either.
