international merchant account for swiss business??
Hi,
I desperately try to get a so called "international merchant account" for being able to process my online-payments by either using Authorize.net or Verisign Payflow Pro or another gateway.
Now I purchased such an account on PayQuake.com, but it turned out that what they tried to sell me is NOT an "international merchant account" but they are just reselling the products of WorldPay, which is not what I want...
So now I am still sitting here and have no such account.
Please can anyone help me and share his experiences? How/where can I get such an account without being betrayed?
How about Durango Merchant Services? Does anybody have experiences with it..?
Please help. Thanks!

I cant. Because if I do, You wont imagine how many resellers of viagra, adult , warez, gaming , third party billers and the rest of them will be calling that company by Monday.
It happened with one other acquiring bank we work with before.

You could try the usual Euro boys that have been around a while:
www.worldpay.com
www.process54.com
The process54 chaps work with every Euro bank there is and can offer a solution for most people. Yes i have an account that they obtained me and I also recommend all my business partners there as well because the service is a lot better than i received from paysystems last year.
I would say there is "NO leading EU PSP" as they all have good and bad points. You just want to ensure that a reseller just doesnt sell you some funny bank in Latvia or the Ukraine as I've heard a few horror stories about that part of the world. I would concentrate on England / Germany / Switzerland as they are all controled by very good financial services.
Good luck
Gavin

Hello Gavin,
please can you give me more infos about process54? I visited their website, but somehow it doesn't really look very serious...
Did they provide you with a merchant account?
Which payment gateway are you using with them? Authorize.net or something similar?

Dave

Hello Thomas,
And you never had problems with their service, the payment server was never down?
How about a merchant account? Is it correct that such an account is not needed?
Is there some PHP-script which connects to their gateway which you could recommend?
I found only some Java/ASP-stuff, but I am running Linux/Unix-servers.

Dave

In Germany the only acquiring bank taking business from all EU is PAGO which You Yourself do not reccomend to use in another topic. All others will accept german based business only with the exception of B+S Card Services who require personal visit to the merchant and accept Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria (SANG).
In Switzerland there is only one leading acquirer which according to our information and relations there does not work with any international PSPs at all and only thinks about goint to international market.
England is a different story though. A lot of good acquirers and PSPs there starting with WorldPay of course.
In Latvia there is only one official PSP and I seriously doubt there is any story in relation to it.
In Ukraine there are no acquiring banks accepting e-commerce internationally. I dont think they do it inside the country as well.

If you dig hardware you will find other aqquirers in Germany and not just Pago Etransaction Services.
I used to be in the banking field so they're deffinatly there.
But hey this is a site for hosting talk not for promoting.

You did not read what I said as it seems.
I said that only PAGO and B+S will take business outside of Germany. For all other acquirers I know of over there You'll need to be pretty much zee german.
The thing is that an acquiring bank or organisation in EU does not have "by default" permission to acquire merchants outside of it's own country just like that, it requires additional license with VISA/MC which costs money, something banks definetely hate to spend without valid reason.

What's the URL of B+S??
By the way, I'm not sure but I think process54 is partnering with PAGO, I just think that.

www.bibit.com but they are expensive with their monthly fees, I think 200 euros per month.
Hey Dude, you can also get an IMA at PaySystems, but I think this one is only availabled for US clients, but you can get an HYBRID IMA, it's working with their JAVA API, and the customers will stay on your website, and won't be redirected to PaySystems, the only thing is, that MyPaySystems will appear on the CC statements of your customers.
By the way I found something about process54 with Google:
http://www.google.nl/search?q=cache:...rocess54&hl=nl
Maybe there is more to find such about process54.
Someone posted this morning a post and wrote about with which partners they're working. ByTheWay I think it's B.S. that they have 40 employers, I mailed a couple of times with them, also a buddy of mine, also via LiveHelp --> mostly offline during 9-5(business days) And we always get Tyler Jones, who says he's British. AnyWay with whom they're partnering, for High Risk and Low Risk.

We've worked with Tyler on our accounts and he looks after the European side. I've also spoken to a Paul, Lisa, Tom, David, Todd over the past 6 months of dealing with them.
There's livehelp system used the name Tyler Jones because they only have one account and each member of staff takes in turn to use it each day rather than having 25 accounts. I know this because i've asked them assuming Tyler never gets a night sleep
They setup an account for us (Adult Toy store) and for a few my friends who run online Pharmacys but as far as i'm aware its not B+S My contract is between Process54 and another bank (I dont think it fair to post what bank) but its not B+S.
Thanks
Gavin

Yes but still only offer the US citizens. They allow you to process though in currencies other than $USD.
