WHT Helpdesk Moved and LiteSpeed Powered?
Hello,
I noticed that the helpdesk has moved from http://www.webhostingtalk.com/helpdesk to http://helpdesk.webhostingtalk.com. As such when I click on the "Tracking URL" on replies by mods through WHT's helpdesk, the link is not working. Maybe iNet should correct the link.
Besides that, have any of you noticed that WHT is now running on LiteSpeed?[ James Lee - Cloud & Web Hosting Specialist • 10+ Years WHT Veteran]

Interestingly, the URL issue was due to a LightSpeed side effect.

We're testing Lightspeed again, and doing an ROI. So if anyone notices any issues, please let us know.

I think I've noticed the pages across WHT have been loading faster, at least for me it has.

Is it related to Litespeed that I am having issue while searching the forum?
2 out of 5 times, all I get is a blank page.
(Or may be I am searching way too often)

The white page during a search is related to PHP memory limits being hit during the search. This is something that has been happening for about a week. I have expanded the memory limits numerous times, but larger queries keep pushing the boundaries.
I did a few searches for very broad terms, such as MySQL and hosting and I did not receive an error though. It's fairly intermittent and shows up during peak periods for searching. I'm still looking into it though.
I have been keeping an eye out for these occasions; the next time you receive one of these, can you open the file and see if it is indeed a PHP script or just the HTML? I suspect this is a header issue and that Firefox is not knowing to display the HTML.

I'll open it up and check next time, but I'm positive there won't be any PHP in there...probably either HTML or a blank file...but I will double check anyway.
As far as the white pages, I haven't got them on the search, but rather on the index page of the forums.

Page load times seem to be faster than before. Litespeed rocks!
I'm interested to see the stats compared with Apache.Last edited by HD Fanatic; 04-25-2009 at 03:09 PM.

If there was one thing that bugged me about WHT, it was the loadtimes, but MUCH, MUCH better now. Thanks.FazeWire Web Services.

Just be very cautious wile using LiteSpeed. It works well for anything *basic* that you do in apache. If you try to use any of the complex apache features in LiteSpeed the results are less than satisfactory. I dont remember any off top of my head but yea, just be cautious.

Is WHT back to Apache again?
