exim
I curently have exim. I'm wanting to download and configure 4.0 cusae i currently have 3.3. Can i do this without removing any old 3.3 files?
Does anybody here use exim?

(your question is a little vague actually)
yeah if you don't want to replace any files you can install exim4 into a different directory (./configure --prefix=/another/location).

Umm, well yeah i'm wanting to override thea ctual files. Wil it do it without me ahving to do anything?

will you be installing from source or packages?
the exim4 config file is very different from exim3. there's a automated conversion tool available, but it's just a barebones convertor. i recommend that you convert it by hand. that way, so that you can immediately appreciate exim4's new features (ACLs and such). i mean, otherwise, why bother upgrading then?
