Platinumservermanage + which server/host?
From those of you who commented on platinumservermanagement and their services, I would like to which dedicated hosting company and the server type/plan you are using so I can research costs.
Also, once the security patches etc., are involved what exactly does platinumservermanagemet guys do? I have heard about tickets, etc., and I am not why there would be a need to create a ticket with them - I would assume any tickets are mainly issues involving the hosting company. So, please enlighten me.
Please recommend hosts you are using, total cost, and your experience with them.
Thanks

I have had servers with several companies but the biggest issue with servers was when I was with Managed.com! Talk about bad service! PSM saved me with them by offering a management service that Managed.com (ironic name eh) could not provide. In fact, PSM provided such an amazing service I switched to http://www.Coastinc.com which made my life so much easier. Between the reliability of their servers/network, monitoring tools and the fact that Coastinc.com is so on the ball my business is completely automated. Added in WHMAP and believe it or not I am on my boat 4-5 days per week and never worry about my business or clients. In fact I might get 1 or 2 support emails a month and I have over 1000 clients.

We use a dedicated server from them (http://www.coastinc.com) also. It's a great combination because like others have posted a few times before, there are some limitations to what can be done for remote server management. By having our server with them, it makes no difference what we need or want done. They can do it. Their server prices are quite competitive with others also, and if you get your server with them, the management is included.

I've been with coast inc and Liquid Web. I recommend Liquid Web all the way, includes the management, phone support, they are super fast when it comes to hardware failure and hard drive replacement. If you have an emergency you can just call and most of the times they will stay with you on the phone while is fixed, something that is impossible with Coast Inc since they don't offer phone support.
I had the experience with coast inc of a hard drive that failed and it took 4 days to be replace. Our server was down for that long.

Disagree with previous post. We have been with PSM for over 2 years and their support has been fantastic each time. In fact not a lot goes wrong to justify unneccessary support. However each time it has been called on, PSM has been very responsive and quick to rectify the issue with server. There phone support is also great, if I had to rate them, they would score top marks.
I have no hesitation on recommending PSM as server management specialists.

PSM its ok, they only take care of the software part of the server not the hardware and for that part I believe they are good for the money.
