    Hi there,

I'm coming from a web host were I got many, many headaches with server up-time and technical support. Their response time was sometimes quick, but in the next day they would ignore an e-mail or make serious mistakes that I had to explain to my clients.. and their servers always come up with a new problem...
Well, this is just to explain my concern about changing quickly to a good one, where I can stay for months until I have enough money for switching to a dedicated server ou something..
When I read reviews of hosts that I thought must be great because of their plans, their website design and their
guarantees, I discovered most had a really bad past!!

I don't want to screw my name because of a bad reseller program so, if anyone could help me with that, I found the following companies had the most atractive reseller plans:

    - WebHostIt: http://www.webhostit.com/
The above have such great prices, that I am affraid to trust it..!! (I'm also worried with their support)
    - HostPro: http:/www.hostpro.net/
    - CoolReseller: http://www.coolreseller.com/
(I'm really worried with their support, as they seem not to give much attention to that on their website)

Anyone worked with these companies?? (resold for them?)
I'm most concerned with Technical support and Up-time.
If anyone know/have another company that have GOOD references, and have most (or ALL) of these:

    - Technical support: fast and effective!
    - Up-time Guarantee
    - Money-back guarantee (it's reealy handy to manage -and attract- new clients..)
    - More than 2 plans to be resold (4+ are best)
    - Control Panel for Clients!
    - Gooood Prices..

    And, if possible:
    - PHP, mySQL, Perl, SSI, Maillists, SSL AND NO SETUP
    - sub.domains.com available would be good..)
    - NT AND Unix as option is also better.... etc..

Thanks!! I think your help on that will help other resellers that visit this forum, also....

If anyone prefers to contact me through e-mail:
    resellermail@bol.com.br

First, have you stopped into http://recellar.com ? (it may help you a bit, or at least put you in touch with a few people looking to do the same thing as you.

Aside from that, if you want to skip the b.s., I'd recommend you check out:

    Alabanza based: superior-host.com, webauthorities.com
    Other: OLM.net

While I am not familiar with the two you mentioned, these recommendations are solid leads. If you choose the cheapest thing out there, you'll have to spend more time explaining why something isn't working to *your* clients.

    Smile Thanks..!! Some more questions...

    Thank you for your help!!

I really liked http://www.webauthorities.com/ reseller program, it's pretty much like the one at http://www.webhostit.com/ , as they both use Alabanza's servers (right??)..
I had already visited http://recellar.com/, but I only found reviews for WebHostit (none talking about CoolReseller, etc.).. and none for Web Authorities, also..

Anyone else would recommend one of those??

I agree with Chicken on the recommendations he made to you above. All the names he has suggested to you are reputed hosting companies. Besides, the owners of these hosting companies hang about this forum daily. And we have only heard positive comments about them till date.

So if you are interested in not being (as Speedie would have put it!) "Penny wise... Pound Foolish", I also suggest you resell for them. You have nothing more to lose as compared with those whom you were reselling for before... you will only gain.

A good hosting company means better business and lesser headaches for everybody... themselves, you as their reseller, and your clients.

We wish you luck as a prosperous reseller until you get your own dedicated server!

We have a good reseller plan but we do not use Alabanza if your set on that. We frequent this forum and have everything your looking for. If you think I should remove this post guys just let me know and its gone. I dont want to seem inappropriate. Take care

    Jaguar,

I just checked out your site. Your packages are nicely structured. Do you offer your Bonus Items on all your packages?

Yes, everything listed is for every site. I guess we should clear that up. Thanks for pointing that out

I was looking at the VDI.net reseller plan. Check it out, they give you free hosting for your domain too.

Unless they've changed, VDI's plan is an affiliate program and not a true reselling program. Be careful.

I suppose I should have mentioned that there are quite a few Alabanza hosts that are good. Really too many to list. Many are new and eager to provide support. I didn't mean to leave out Annette and Martie's offerings (etc., etc.).

Also, that OLM offers a somewhat unique reseller program (they provide support to your resold clients). Their fees can be high for certain things (bandwidth to name one). They are not willing to alter their program in terms of pricing and features. I am guessing that the Alabanza hosts would be more willing to adjust something, if there was one thing nagging you about their program.

Sorry for the lateness, my cable modem has fallen and it can't get up.

I haven't read to many of the details, but typically an affiliate program is where you send them clients and they pay you either a residual income or a one time finders fee.

Some sites have banner affiliate programs and others do a MLM approach where it creates a site on the fly and you use that. Either way, on an affiliate program, you don't own your clients, so if you decided to leave, you would leave empty handed.

Double check this before signing up.
